Our February

Date: 1st Mar 2019 @ 6:15pm

Wow. What a busy month we've had and how much learning we've done. Even managed to squeeze half term holidays in!

We were lucky enough to get lovely James from Widnes Vikings in every Wednesday before half term, who helped us to work on our rugby skills and prepared many fantastic activities that made us work as a team. Today, the whole school had a special visit from the Viking's mascot, as we dressed up in black and white today to raise funds to help to save the club. Check out our school's twitter page for some photos!

We have I think now completely recovered from the residential and it was lovely seeing all the parents again at parents evening. Thank you to everyone who left beautiful notes for their children in their books and on displays  their faces lit up when they found it the next day and they were excitedly sharing theirs with their friends, holding onto the notes for the rest of the day.

We have a very exciting week ahead of us! World book day on Thursday, when the children can come in dressed as a book character or in the colours of our chosen country and throughout the day we will be looking at traditional tales from the Czech Republic (the colours on the flag are the same as UK, so blue, red and white). There might be some Czech food to taste too! 🤫

The week after is the week of our class worship about courage. On the Wednesday, all parents and grandparents and carers are invited to join us in the worship from around 9.10 and then stay for some coffee and tea! We have already started practising and it is going very well, I cannot wait to see the result!

The children have been working so hard and it feels like we have only just come back from Christmas holidays! Their progress and standards of the behaviour and presentation is fantastic across the class and I couldn't be more proud! Hopefully with the weather improving, we will be able to do some more learning in the outdoor area and field we have.

Well done!
